“Experience cannot be thought, but equally there is no substitute for it.”
Fast-food chains are grappling with slow growth, rising prices, and sluggish sales. However, KFC is taking on these challenges with an ambitious strategy to make 2025 its most successful year yet. According to KFC U.S. President Tarun Lal, the company is undergoing a “brand transformation”, as reported by Nation’s Restaurant News. This transformation includes advancements in technology across all locations, featuring enhanced kiosks, improved apps for employees and managers, and an upgraded customer rewards program to boost sales and loyalty.
KFC is tapping into the chicken tender craze with Saucy, a brand-new restaurant chain dedicated to tenders and dipping sauces.
“Everyone is obsessed with sauce – more is more,” says KFC Chief New Concept Officer Christophe Poirier. “With Saucy, we’ve taken KFC’s famous Original Recipe® and amplified it with a fresh concept that allows customers to experiment with flavors. You can pick a combo, select a flight of sauces, or mix sauces and sides to create your perfect meal.”
Customers will have 11 unique sauces to choose from:
“We’re sauce people, not math people,” Poirier jokes. “But based on our calculations, there are over 4,000 possible combinations for ordering at Saucy, making every visit a unique experience.”
For those who prefer something other than tenders, Saucy offers:
Dessert lovers can finish off their meal with Chocolate Mousse Cake or Key Lime Cake.
Saucy is tech-forward, featuring self-service kiosks and even live entertainment at select locations. The first Saucy restaurant debuted in Orlando, Florida, in December 2024, with plans for nationwide expansion.
KFC has also introduced five new $5 bowls, alongside the return of its famous Nashville Hot Sauce for a limited time.
KFC is also offering two exclusive bowls available only for digital orders:
These bowls, also priced at $5, bring an Asian-inspired twist to the menu.
While U.S. customers can enjoy these new offerings, lucky KFC fans in Spain get an exclusive Squid Game-themed menu collaboration. Though not currently available in the U.S., there’s hope that KFC will bring this promotion stateside soon.
Stay tuned for more updates as KFC continues its transformation in 2025!
